For the
promotion of  the quality of education and the increase of professional insertion ratio of the graduates of  ISIMG


The Higher Institute of Computer and Multimedia of Gabes (ISIMG) offers training courses in the fields of computer science, multimedia, web and industrial computing. These disciplines have great employment potential and a wide margin of technological innovation. ISIMG graduates should have the potential needed for training, or business creating. Unfortunately, it does not actually the case. Indeed, there is a high unemployment rate and a lack of initiative and creativity, traduced by a low rate of personal entrepreneurship creation. The analysis of external factors involves this situation mainly to a gap between the academic and the socio-economic environment. In fact, the academic does not know the needs of professionals who are not involved in the definition of trainings content. Thus, it follows a lack of internship opportunities and employability regression. Moreover, institute training suffers from several weaknesses: a failure in the information transmission, a lack in scientific devices and a lack of means and competences in governance.

This proposal aims to improve the overall employability of ISIMG graduates. To do this, we should address the negative findings of internal and external factors analyses which derive to the following general objectives: (i) improving the quality of training provided, (ii) enhancing the students learning environment, (iii) openness to the industrial environment, (iv) improving the institute governance. For this, we propose working on specific goals which consist in: (i) the adoption of teaching by training and certifications, (ii) the adequacy of training standards with business needs, (iii) the provision of teachers and students expertise to professionals through joint work cells and, (iv) the encouragement of student competitiveness and dynamism by extra-scholar activities, (v) call for external experts to make an analysis of ISIMG administration weaknesses and so the implementation of a plan of needed trainings.
